About International Travel

The International Travel Clinic was established by Dr. Kunjana Mavunda and Giselle  Mavunda in 1998. 

Prior to opening this specialty medical service, Dr. Mavunda was Director of Epidemiology and Disease Control at the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County. She has worked and continues to work with specialists in epidemiology, tropical medicine, and travel medicine from around the world. 

Dr. Mavunda has passed exams administered by the International Society of Travel Medicine and also American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.  

Our staff is highly trained and continually educated on the latest information in travel and tropical medicine. We provide services to seniors, young adults, students, children, infants, pregnant women, business travelers, migrants, and people with chronic illnesses.

Your health is our number one priority before, during, and after your travels. We will provide you with prescriptions for medications for prevention and self-treatment during travel as well as for preexisting conditions, vaccinations for preventable diseases, and other supplies for safe travel.
