PRE-TRAVEL CONSULTATIONS

Before you begin your trip abroad, it’s recommended to see a doctor at least 4-6 weeks in advance. If you are unable to visit the International Travel Clinic in-person in advance, we can still give you the materials, resources, and medications you need.

Upon your appointment, Dr. Mavunda will review your medical history, travel itinerary, and immunization history to assess you for safe travel. Contact one of our locations to get your consultation scheduled.

POST-TRAVEL CONSULTATIONS

Even with the most careful pre-travel care, illness and injury can occur. We recommend visiting our office after your trip for a follow-up, especially if you’ve developed any unusual symptoms. We will make sure you receive proper diagnosis and treatment as early as possible, and test for things like tuberculosis, Zika, parasites, and more.

RELAXING, STRESS-FREE ENVIRONMENT

Our staff has experience giving care to pediatric patients, which means we know the most pain-free methods for immunization. Our technique so gentle, many of our patients come to our clinic and pay for flu shots, rather than getting free ones.
